  5. I was cutting iron rods with a heavy duty chop saw at a construction site. cut While at it, I got an electric shock from the handle, and the chop broke. I lost my left hand due to the accident. Against whom should I file a claim - the employer or the contractor or the defective product manufacturer?

    1. You can claim compensation from any of them. Consult a lawyer to get the best compensation you deserve. It is a manufacturer’s responsibility to provide the public with safe and reliable products. When a company manufactures and sells defective wares that cause injury to consumers, it can be sued for damages. Because of their complexity of design, mechanical and motorized equipment such as snow blowers, lawn mowers, and power equipment are often sources of injuries due to product defects.
