A week ago, my uncle was run over by a speeding vehicle as he was
trying to fix his car that had broken down in the middle of the highway. He
suffered a serious head injury. He was immediately taken to the emergency by
witnesses. However, he died in the hospital. We are planning to file a wrongful
death case against the reckless driver who caused the accident. What type of
damages can we recover?

My daughter was seriously injured in a car accident and hospitalized. She died after two weeks of medical treatment. Can I file a compensation claim against the car owner for the wrongful death?

In wrongful death cases, the surviving family members of the deceased are entitled to compensation for the damages and suffering incurred. The nominee or family member of the deceased, or the person appointed by the nominee, can bring the case to court to claim the compensation.

DeleteMy father suffered life changing injuries when he was hit by a car while crossing a road in Connecticut. He required CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) at the scene of the accident and suffered a severe hypoxic brain injury, as well as multiple internal and bone injuries. Ten months after the accident, he died from the injuries. Can I file a wrongful death case now?
